Looks like a typical Johns River fish, I'd put it in the mid twenties also. Nice chromer, they're still trickling in.

Gallon jug method puts it at ~16-18 pounds. Nice fish.

Guys - Take a good look at that fish. She is standing right next to the fish (i.e., not holding it at arms length). The jaw line starts at her shoulder and the tail ends up around her kneecap. Plus, look at the girth. That's not a small fish. My guess is high 20's to low 30's. Call it an even 30lbs and nobody will argue.

Very nice Chinook! I haven't caught one that big in a few years. And neither have alot of other people on this BB........

It's thick because most likely it's a hen which would weigh less. I still disagree. A 25+ would have a much wider tail. A tail wider than both of her legs.

Things that make you go HMMMM.....

I know I was asking for mercy on the Curtis H. steelhead post, but I just couldn't resist on this one from somebody's Halloween rant.

My wife caught this fish in the ocean not the Johns

Hypocrisy?

Sorry mods....

I enjoy what the good doc has to post, and enjoy reading his posts. Wynner, you may want to take some of the folks advice here. I am not the most talkative here, but I enjoy the educational topics, and even some of the fun banter between the folks on here. Life is too short to dwell on your rants.

I think Whynner has been long gone, already...hasn't exactly established much in the way of credibility in his short tenure at PP.

Fish on...
