Anyone else go to the show last night? My girl got tickets for my birthday, the show was GREAT. Way better than I expected.

Was it Dweezil playin' his dad's music? If so... sorry I missed it. It would have been awesome if Steve Vai was there too!

It was Dweezil and band playin dad's music. Ray White from Frank's original band was singing. Dweezil is equivalent on guitar to his old man or EVH. They are coming again next year, I'll be there.

Vai used to play with Frank back in the day and is a cut above Eddie Van Halen... IMO of course. I'll look for them next year.

I missed this one. Last year it was Dweezil,Napolean Murphy Borck,Terry Bozzio and Steve Vai,and it was worth the 45 minute wait in the rain. Great show. Dweezil is really good. But yeah Vai is a freakin monster.

I saw Zappa with Vai at Macarthur Court in Eugene in '82......cool show. watching him "conduct" Vai's solos.....with a conductor's wand......was hilarious.

I was there! The show was amazing. The city of Tiny lights and Carolina Hardcore Exctasy as well as the Zoot Allures were real stanouts for me. Cant wait till next year!-TBJ
