My old man is making the best use of his time this winter in Montana. He has a complete machine shop over there & has always had a thing for knifes, he must have 100's of them. Now he is rolling his own & putting some pretty knifes together, using old lumber-mill saw blades for the steel. He also likes to work in leather, so he makes up the sheaths too.......

I think he gets the rough blanks from some other old codger. Btw, that edge on the blade looks like a butterknife....

So I'm sure pops didn't put THAT edge on it, he gets em sharp!!

I appricate your fathers work thats a bueaty. My mother cleaned out her knife drawer several years ago. This was in the bag of old kitchen knifes she gave me. Its a David Boye, my wife had a garage sale and she was trying to sell this knife for 2.00. When I got home from work that day I saw the knife still laying there. Its value is 600.00++ I was pretty happy no one picked it up.
