Looks like a good weekend to clean the boats, tie side-drifting leaders, make slinkies, respool the spinning rods, and generally get ready for the brats.

Lotta variables, ya dork. A 24-hour time of concentration was way conservative....The basin corridor is largly logged between the ridge lines and park boundary so the run-off coef. is likely much larger. Assuming Type-C soils was likely a stretch since the hillsides are friggin' mountains and mountains are made of rock.

I knew someone would nail me on that one. Welcome to the life of an engineer. Everything is *OUR* fault.

Why don't you build a time machine and go back a month and don't piss me off this time around. wink

Was on the Chehails this morning and the river below the Satsop is a chocolate mess.....Satsop is running 2500cfs+ when I took out at Fuller Bridge. Didn't even fish. Went to the Rusty Tractor instead for a cold one.

My prediction is no Coho fishing til next Wed or Thurs.

The rivers are turning to Mud Pie right now! I saw lots of dark kings and dogs moving up the Hump at Stevens Cr, and Reynvaan's. Hopefully the high water will herd all the boots out of the holes for some fresh fish.

Skagit here in Concrete is up 18,000 CFS since yeaterday afternoon...and still in a near vertical climb, with no "stall speed" in sight.

I need a couple days rest, anyway, but would have rather spent them fishing than in my Lazy-Boy tying leaders for Dec. steelhead.

That's the truth Sol... Engineers get very little credit when they do something right (we do lots of things right)! But everyone knows when we make a mistake... Then all of a sudden we are idiots! evil
I'm going to head out to Forks anyway... Maybe there will be some new shrooms sprout'n up!

Just trying my best to stay optomistic. Been told by a few that 90% of fishing is Karma the other 10% is technique! Lol hello

WHOA... what a day!

Hump was about 200 cfs now approaching 6000!

Nooch was about 200 and now coming up on 1500!

Satsop was about 200 and now approaching 4000!

Might just get a chance to sleep in tomorrow.

Saw this statement on a wall at one of my customers:

"There comes a time in the history of every major project that you shoot the engineer and just build the damn thing."

This is one of the most high tech engineering offices in the world, and it's filled with scientists who seem (to me) to live on a different planet intellectually.

Skagit at Concrete is now flowing at 34,300 CFS...that is a rise of 25,000 CFS since about noon today! Last time I saw it rise this fast was in the flood of Oct. 2003.. frown

I've got Friday, Nov 10th with Bob. I've been thinking I might have it goin' on but now I'm getting worried. After the way things have been this season I don't know how to feel. I'm laughing on the outside and crying on the inside. fridge

Time to go Blackmouth fishing.. If I could only find my darn keys. Lots of bait in Area 10 haunts.. Weeding out the keepers from the shakers has been an Issue.
