I feel some relief that Obama had unpaid parking tickets. For a while there I was concerned that he wasn't an ordinary person. Sorta' like Clinton's first campaign mistake was saying he didn't inhale.

Parking tickets are you guys kidding me. If this is all that can be found on the guy then he is a saint.

Weren't you supporting a guy that strapped his dog to the roof of his car as it sprayed liquid feces from its anus? The same guy that claimed his father walked with Martin Luther King Jr. and then later said that he meant it in a "figurative" way? Didn't you vote for Bush when he had a drunk driving conviction? I can't even count how many laws Bush has broken since becoming the president.

My point isn't to pick on you or convince you that you should change your mind about your opinions of these people. My point is that the finger-pointing could go on forever, especially if you are going as far as talking about parking tickets. Not that I care, but shouldn't Obama's drug use (or some other past facet of his life)use be a bigger deal to you than parking tickets?

I've never met you, Aunty, but I hope you can tell I do respect you. I'm sorry for implying you voted for Bush (no small mis-statement). I do find it strange that you would be a Kerry supporter and then change to support ANY Republican. It just seems like if you didn't like them before, how could you ever like them after the last 8 years?

You might find that there is no candidate that can live up to your standards? I guess for me, past drug use isn't a deal breaker. Neither is an affair. Shady business dealings and close ties to special interests are more troublesome for me. Unfortunately, those seem to go hand-in-hand with being a politician (probably because of the money required to actually win).

I've read the things you've posted about Obama, including the lengthy Harpers article, but to me, it just isn't that damning. Maybe that is because I'm look at him in comparison to the other options?

No, and to be honest I don't care either. For me personally, what I want to hear from all the candidates is a firm plan to get our troops back home, a plan to deal with the weakening dollar, and things of that nature.

When Hillary and Obama talk about their medical plans it's BS, I mean we can't actually get our hands on them and read them can we? I want to read what their actual plans our, the debates don’t go into enough detail.

anyone ever wounder why it is that the canadans come down here to get major medical its because if they have a serious health problem they will die before they get any help when they come here not only do we have the best doctors but when the government tells you you will make only so much money there is know real reason to strech your self just work the min. then go play golf here we may get screwed by the price of the doc but because the more they work the more they make you get seen and when it matters they are there may not be the best system but you cant socialise it and get the same care it will go down because ther is no incentive

I've heard all about McCain's "character flaws". I'd say well before he thought of becoming president, but I'm pretty sure he was thinking of becoming president the day he was in diapers.

I really do not think highly of McCain - which is pretty sad in that I consider myself to be a Fiscally Responsible Republican.

Just about any moderate dem would win in a landslide, but the dem's still have not figured this out......great for the r's though. Someone like lieberman for instance imo could beat MCcain. Pretty embarassing the choices on both sides. You would think with nearly 300 million people in this country we could do better.
