Perhaps it's the influx of CCA energy but I believe the militant, activist, fisher-mench (put up or shut up) attitude seen recently in a number of posts is a good omen.

Between Lami - warranty, logging, nets and the Nordic threads to name a few, the self-policing is both entertaining and a possible sign that we as a group are more aware of our responsibilities as part of the sport fishing community.

There have always been individuals carrying the torch but it seems that there are more contributors who are personally involving themselves in topics that are weightier that how long a leader should I use (spoons: 36” 20lb floro. w/ 11” flasher).

I’m glad to be part of the ‘community’ and I hope is a sign of broader commitment and activism.

cheers

We fish and we vote and we know lots of other folks who do the same. We can be a force if we want to.
