The battery is dead, you'll need to buy a new one as it did not come with rechargeable batteries. The battery does last a very long time.

I've had this camera for two years almost, and just don't ever use it...I've got two others, including my waterproof camera for fishing, so it just sits on the shelf in the box.

Since I was into it about $500.00 a couple of years ago, I'll take half that...$250.00. I thought I'd throw it out here for you guys before getting it on Craigslist.
