Parker, there is a little "home" hotlink on the top of each product page. I guess ya missed that! As for the photo's I think the pictures on each product's page accurately represent "exactly" what you are getting. The picture on the main page containing an extra swivel acts as a good alternative rigging method....plus, ya gotta admit, it's a cool pic. Speaking of the photo's and rigging methods, I think a picture of what the spoon looks like is a pretty good description of how to rig them. Hook in the back, split ring, spoon! hey if you rig them backwards and catch a fish on it, tell Joe, he'd love to hear it

Todd, I don't know what kind of html editor you're using, but in Dreamweaver you can establish "libraries" - which basically is a way of managing templates and links (internal and external). This makes managing the common elements of your pages a breeze. ie, if you want to change your logo, which would be on every page, you only need swap out the image on the template and the library will cascade that change site-wide. I'm sure other editors have similar tools, and it is these tools that help you keep your game tight. It should actually be quite simple to add that link which would be a "mailto: todd@rvrfshr.com" or somesuch. The libraries allow you to change all links site wide - so if you wanted all the inquiries to go to Joe you could use the library to make the change once and make all links that are todd@rvrfshr.com change to joe@rvrfshr.com. This is 10 min tops, just sayin'. As it is, It is a nice crisp, simple and robust site. I look forward to testing out the full shopping features and the lbd worms. Parker gave some good advice as well, although I have a tough time imagining much dissappointment occuring when someone receives a package from rvrfshr. By the way the cardboard inserts that come with the spinner and spoon packages make excellent business cards on the river. I've handed several out when folks ask me what I'm using. Good luck!

We're not using an HTML editor...the whole website is actually run through our shopping cart, which has a bunch of templates.
We'll have the contact information on all the pages soon, but our whizbang webdude (and he is whizbang, lemme tell ya!) didn't have time to get it up there before launching, as I just suggested it last night right before launch.
It'll get there.
Michael, that pic is a little sketchy in that it shows my own personal rigging style, rather than that of the lures as they come...but the important part is the lure itself, and it's just the splash page.
The pages on the inside that show the OEM hooks rather than the sickles are a bit more of an issue...the photos were generated when it was still up in the air as to what hooks we would be using at launch...as it turns out, the sickles showed up, and it was too late to get new pics...the ones on the inside with the OEM hooks are temporary and will be replaced as soon as we have time to get new ones done up.
Jason, we don't have the bags/cards packaging anymore...as a matter of fact, we have actual packaging now if you get the lures at one of ever-expanding list of retail stores...you'll still get the bags if you order online, however.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
Fish on...
Todd

Oh, one more thing...the "how to build your lures" question...I've been thinking about putting a photo tutorial on how to put the spinners and spoons together on the site...most of the guys who buy them know how to put them together, but not everyone.
Our usual way of dealing with the situation when folks may not know how to assemble the spinners is to send them one pre-assembled as a template for them to build off of...

Parker, there is a little "home" hotlink on the top of each product page. I guess ya missed that! No. I did not miss that. I'd take a look at some of the demo's put up on the Volusion web site. http://www.volusion.comOk, not that I care about horses, but check out the works like this site - same e-commerce site, and it's EASY to navigate. It just flows..... Painfully easy. Sharp, clean, precise. Damn - kinda makes me WANT to buy a horse now!!!! http://www.seabuck.comAlmost feel sorry for IrishRogue, as the modular e-commerce packages are a pain in the butt to work with. I don't envy what he is doing but it's a good start so far. I will say that the current site is a 1000X better than the old one. PS Todd: I don't know how to assemble any of the RVRFSHR spinners or spoons. You'd better send me some pre-assembled spinners and spoons ASAP! 25 of each (all colors and sizes) should be fine.

Parker, I totally know what you're saying, I can agree that maybe some larger, more obvious home navigation is needed, MAYBE.
But what should (and only half does) work is clicking on the huge RVRFSHR logo, which is what I'd expect (lower half doesn't work, you don't want to understand what a hack it is to get this much working.
The reason you don't want to put a big nav-bar or tabs in this site, is twofold I think:
1. There are only 5 products--seemed weird (at least to me) to have each page have its own tab, and that breaks down at some reasonably low limit 2. You don't want to cough up the screen space, especially on the home page. because it competes with the large (I'd say JUMBO) pictures we feature there, and causes you to scroll.
The design goals from Joe and Todd were simple, and big pictures. I agree in this case, hence the design.
Still it's worth thinking more about how to get better "back" navigation or cross navigation on detail pages for product... I'm sure Joe/Todd are open to suggestions.

Nice work Joe & Todd. Just a suggestion. Maybe sometime in the future you can put a gallery link of customer's fish caught on RVRFSHR products.

+1 for the photo gallery. Porn is always good.
Also, I'm not seeing any prices or order information for the poured 90 degree jig heads, only the 60 degree beaded ones.

I absolutely love the spoons. I was fishing with Omar Q and he let me use a few of your spoons and they were awesome. I haven't really fished spoons much before your product and I will be using them much more(only rvrfshr's of course)!
New site looks sweet!

Eric,
As of now, "no" on thinner wire 2/0's.
Stone and monger, it's in the works already...it does note on the "about us" page to please e-mail us good success stories and pics, but it will be more apparent when the 'gallery' is up and operational. Non-essential feature for right now, but now that we have the site up and running we'll start ticking off things like that, too.
monger, as of yesterday we did not have the 90 degree poured leadheads in stock...as of today, we do have *some*...and we'll have a lot more in the near future. What we do have will be available on the site tomorrow...and they will be just what you're looking for if you are thinking about making some jigs for the upcoming summer season!
cmessling, good luck with the spoons, let us know how you do with 'em.
Fish on...
Todd
