The S&P 500 is a far more accurate index of market trends than the Dow. The people in charge of the Dow also like to change the companies listed to achieve more "optimistic" results:

I got a letter from IRS on May 17 saying I should receive my check by or about May 16. I checked my account online and sure enough, it was deposited May 16.

Not to criticize, just a reminder; a brothel near me was busted a couple months ago, and apparently it had been advertising on CL, and the news article suggested that Johns might be prosecuted. It's a dang shame, and like with so many things, I was among the last to even know there was a brothel less than 3 miles from my home. I'm always missing out on the good stuff.

On the other hand, a decent Spey reel will probably outlast the stain on your criminal record should you get busted, and maybe even outlast your time in the doghouse when your wife sees you got busted. Considerations.

I have heard that if you file an extension, it will delay the stimulus check. Anyone know if that is correct?

Seems logical that you would have to file your return before they could figure how much "free" money you get...

if you dont file the return they dont get you your "free money" if you get an extention you have to wait till the return is filed before they will give you a date for the "free money" <>
