Marine Harvest, a Norwegian corporation is the largest salmon farming operation in the world. Despite the mounting body of evidence revealing the devastating ecological impacts of open net-pen fish farming, it's still business as usual.

Interesting how the lack of responsible stewardship in the fish farming industry parallels the commercial decimation of wild salmon stocks from Europe to N America. The wild runs in Scandinavian rivers were wiped out by their local fish farms... now they just transplant their toxic industry and its irresponsible practices to the West Coast of N America.

These videos are a must see for anyone who has an interest in these matters.

It is part of the answer, just not in open pens. At least that's my 2c.

Wow. Can that movie get any more biased????

What a pile of crap.

Not defending fish farms, but that was like watching a PETA or Greenpeace movie.

I am with Parker on this, U-Tube science! If you are interested look at all the published peer reviewed literature. What is interesting is that the University of Victoria scientists are worried about sea lice and yet Victoria dumped raw sewage into Puget Sound for years. I haven't seen any videos that address the effects of that.

I don't think that the sealice are attracted to turds.
