Hard to blame it on BushCorp...I mean, if it was up to them the value would reflect the same value they put on human life, which is a damn sight shorter than $6.9M...

Try Countrywide Mortgage and every other bank and trader who made, sold and trading these loans based on future profits. Bear Stearns went out of business and others will probably follow. Lots of local mortgage people are gone too. It was sort of like a pyramid.
