Picking up dog shiat... Another reason to laugh at urbanites.

My dog does his business somewhere out in the woods, has never been tied up, I could go pee anywhere on my property and not be seen by anyone, can/do shoot guns in the yard without getting any complaints, can/do ride dirt bikes right out of the back yard, and could probably fill a deer tag within a half mile..................................but my trusty yellow Lab would go to the big duck pond in the sky before I would pack a baggy around waiting for him to have a movement !

About plastic bags . . .

It says a lot about the average American's addiction to a lifestyle of thoughtless waste to have to place a $0.20 tax on each shopping bag in order to get them to perhaps think about alternatives. I've been re-using shopping bags for years. I used to get the paper ones with the handles and double them; they'd last over six months. Then I got a canvas tote and was given a heavy duty plastic one with "Whole Foods" logo on it. I still get my groceries in plastic bags part of the time because they are a perfect fit for the trash can. We fill and put about two per week in the trash bin. I re-use the plastic produce bags too. They have about a one year life span.

Regarding picking up after the dog, it appears Oregonian has found the perfect place to park his single-wide (t.i.c.). I don't keep a dog in the condo, but might have another one when my new home is finished. Maybe fill a deer tag too; a nice buck walked through the yard (thinking "there goes the neighborhood) and down the hill as I was atop a ladder nailing the top plate to a garage wall Sunday.

IMO, the right alternative would have been to ban plastic bags but the city of Seattle in it's infinite wisdom figured out a way to profit from them. Not only does the city profit but the merchant as well. It's going to be like smoking....you nasty person with the bad habits but please continue as we need the money. So the city and merchant are now bag pushers. Psst, hey buddy, want to buy a plastic bag?

BWP, you should start putting that plastic bagged sh*t on the mayor and council members doorstep and light them on fire.

I have never ever regreted moving out of Seattle and King County.

I actually prefered the produce plastic bags to pick up dog pooh, but then I guess it depends on the size of the dog. They don't develop those nasty holes that often happens when you use the grocery plastic bags.

The marijuana cloud that was over the bay area got so big that it split into a second cloud that settled over Seattle a number of years ago. That pretty much explains what you see happening there.

If a marijuana cloud settles over anywhere, then nothing but good should be happening. The worst thing marijuana has ever done is cause some type A personality to relax for a little while and exhale and say, "far out, man!"
