Went into the Dept. of Labor & Industries office today to get a permit for the wiring on my shop. Long conversation ensued, and then once I had everything completed for my application, the lady behind the counter asked if I would be needing any inspections soon.

In a clear voice I told her, and the other 4 ladies in the room, " I need a cover inspection, and while they are out there, I also need a dick inspection".

They'll be out to inspect yet another ditch of mine on Tuesday.

Yes, they were laughing as I left, and I swear I saw a few of them wiping tears from their eyes. So if you need an inspection, you know where to go.

I'll be starting my wiring pretty soon, after I frame in the gable ends of the garage. I'll try to get it right when I ask for inspections. You mean I need a wiring permit different from the building permit? Thanks for the reminder.

I think it is permit #6 that I've had to purchase. Only $46, so it was the second cheapest so far.

Tomorrow night I get to play convict while my wife plays the cop. Big shindig in McCleary.
