I am looking to get a new Laptop and am thinking MAC. I don't do much gaming etc, just want it for email, Excel, Surfing the web etc.. Any reccomendations?

All modern laptops will basically do what you just described. All laptops are painfully over-priced for what you are paying for. IE, you pay a massive premium for portability.

I almost always recommend a Dell or an Apple. Depends on what the user thinks they want to do, spend, realistic expectations, etc.

Sittin here surfin on my MacBook Pro 17"..Love it. I also have an iMac and a couple of Dells in the house. I definitely prefer my Macs

pretty much for a basic macbook for surfing web and excel and what not

upgraded model isnt worth it because you are paying a nice chunk of $$ for very little performance [for what you are looking for]

a lower model just wont preform well enough in my opinion
