Sky,
What size Rapala's are you looking for? Are Magnums the 6" size?

I've got about 20 or so Rapala's in the 3-4.5" size. I plan to bring a bunch with me to Maui in March - but I don't need all of them. I bought them as a lot - they are all unused Coundown Rapala's and the rattler Husky jerk rapalas. Gold, silver and rainbow trout colors primarily.

Have you found a multi-piece travel rod for this trip? I'm looking now so I don't have to bring my old trailmaster eagle claw again smile St. Croix has the Tidewater 3-piece rods, but I'd like to know what you found.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hey Jeff,

I'm going to bring full sized regular fly, casting, and trolling rods for this trip, so I havent looked into travel rods.
The preferred Rapala sizes are any of the variations from 6-8 inches. They have a bunch of different types. I'm looking for the deep divers and the floaters.

D3- What do you want for the lot minus the Rebels?

Sky,
Sounds like a fun trip Sky - I look forward to the report that follows! Much different than the family fun trip I'm going on. My brothers Dad and I did charter Start-Me-Up charters in Lahina for a day and then I'll just do some beach fishing for the remainder of the trip.

I've had some action with top water plugs off the beach, but nothing like what Mingo posts in the past. I's like to purchase a heavier rod for beach fishing these big plugs. I am looking at a 7 1/2' 3-piece 10-20 pound travel casting rod from St. Croix, but I'm still looking at what is available.

Have a great trip!

Check out the photo page!

On all my past excursions, from shore I used a 10-20# 1021c and it worked just fine on big trevally and whatever else. In Nica...I can't wait to hook up with big Tarpon & Snook using my MR3...
