Guess I spoke too soon last night. Our power went out at 9:30, and is still out. I am running my laptop off the generator (to power DSL modem).

I drove for miles in every direction this morning, and can find -0- damage, NADA, anywhere. Must be a major overhead line at the station or something, because there is hardly a big limb fallen around here!

We did get wind, but not enough to cause any damage.

I thought my windows were going to get blown out. My bed actually shook just like we were having an earthquake. I have no internet/phone/tv at home but do have power.
And the kids get another day off from school.

It seemed to me that the wind came in high here. I live in Parkland and have a huge tree in the back yard. The wind would blow and the tree would bend like I have never seen. At the same time, however, I had forgot a few toys in the back yard and they never moved. The 4 foot top to their sand box was laying on the top of the box at an angle and never moved.
