I just spoke with my buddy who works for King County roads. He had returned a little while ago from the Tokul creek area. He said the WDFW will probably not open the creek above the bridge due to the slides and amount of debris in the creek. The gravel bars at the mouth of the creek are piled with sediment and there are big logs, stumps and brush swirling around the big eddy, but people are fishing at the mouth and big eddy. The bridge over Tokul creek will be paved Thursday, (blew out by a logjam from the two huge slides upstream) but because there is no word on when 202
will open, access is via Snoqualmie. You can't get there from Fall City. David Powell road is closed and only for local traffic, as about 150' of road washed away and there is only a narrow one lane route.

the clock is ticking on that fishery closure, you would think if ther letting people fish the big eddy the creek will open. they may close the parking area for construction. but never seen WDFW close a river because of flood damage.... hope they let us know!!!! I plan on being ther...........

yeah, what a mess. This is what it looked like on Sunday, they probably have cleared the jam by now. You could see fish scrambling below the jam. Talked to enforcement officers on site and they were discussing closing from the bridge to plums to protect fish and fishermen. Sounds like that didn't happen. Was anybody catching?...usually good when water falls fast after a flood. Keep us posted.

the creek below the bridge is awesome now. to bad its not open.

talked to a buddie gamie today and im waiting for the call if its gonna be open or not tomarrow. looks grim though.

if they do not open the creek tomarrow then the snoq from plums landing boat launch up will be closed to fishing.

both intakes for the hatchery got washed out. so they have one pump pumping 1/3rd the water needed to run the hatchery properly. so the fish arent getting up the feeder creek.

tokul is open above the bridge.

from what my dad just told me. you can only fish one side of the river unless the guys working on the bridge let you cross the bridge.

Jack, I made a stop there this afternoon. what a mess! If you look upriver from the bridge, the hatchery side of the stream bed is close to 4 feet higher almost half way acroos the creek. So now the first 150 yards is a staight fast water shoot. Water is in nice shape. It's a bitch to get around on the upper section.
The creek from the bridge down is posted as "Closed til Further Notice.
In the 3 hours I was there, I seen 9 bright fish caught. (now the secret is out)
