I am looking for a 16x54 Willies or Wildhair in good condition. If anyone has seen one for sale or know where i might check can you give me a name and phone number. I live in Seattle and i am willing to goto Oregon if i have to. Having a hard time finding anything through the Boat trader, newspapers, or internet.

I see them once in a while in the Seattle papers, but they sell fast if they are in good shape or priced right. I have a 16 x 54 Guide Model ('97) and love it. I bought mine in Oregon and would do the same again. I worked with Jim and set the boat up like I wanted it. That seemed like the biggest advantage. Also-Baker trailers are made down there, and it's a small family business, excellent trailers! I was always looking for the guys that went out and bought a drift boat and sold them a year later because fish didn't jump into them, but there are more guys looking for boats than boats to buy. It also seems like having the boat the way you want it is worth buying new, especially with the a lot of the guys who have 5-10 year boats and want as much or more than they paid for them. Good luck in your search, let me know if you want anymore info.

Thank you, I found a Wilie boat on consignment at South River Marine doing searches on the Net. It was a 99' Model 16x54 with every option on the list including the new trolling seat option, It was equiped with Sawyer MX-G oars with a 3 piece breakdown MX-G for the spare. It also had a Galvanized Baker Trailer. the previous owner only used it for 2 months, I guess fish were not jumping into the boat. I got a bargain and paid about $3000 less than he did. I will be giving it the first run this weekend on the Skykomish. So if you see a new Navy Blue Willie going by give me a hollar.

River Dog sounds like you might be familiar with a lot of the rivers around Seattle. maybe we can hook up and trade a few secrets and maybe I can learn a few new rivers and some rowing tips in the process. shoot me a mail at doog@aa.net
