So i figured i would post a quick tribute to the 102 years that my grandpa has been here...he brought our family together all these years, and this will be more than likely the very last time we are all together....i love ya grandpa, im gonna miss ya, and trust me...he had a great life!!!!!!!...1907-2009

this is my grandpa Joe on his 100th birthday party...it was a big shin dig!!!

this is where he lived in Germany before he came here around 1929

this was his first HD...in Chicago...

so we went to California...i had 5 full days with my nephew Ryan...he was a blast and i know he was spoiled, in ten million different ways...we went to SF and we rode the BART train, Trolly, and the Cable Cars all in one day...even went to the Port of SF, Ghirardeili Square, Pier 39, Fishermans Wharf, The Rainforest Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe, and In and Out Burger!....it was fun....
Here he is with Grandma at Pier

and a few from the Rainforest Cafe...which was a great place to take your young ones, just a bit pricy for my taste...it poured rain the day we went too...

this is the Cable Car we rode all over the city on

My Mom and Sister and Ryan at Ghirardeili Square

Ryan with SpongeBob before he went on the 4D SpongeBob ride

and finally....his resting place next to my Grandma, and next to them is my other Grandma Ryan....the coffin was buitiful wood, and it fit him so well...he came here as a wagon builder...and was a wood worker his whole life, loved to to anything that had to do with building something or fixing something up...i know he is with my other relitaves that have passed, and as my Aunt Sue said that my other passed reliatves were saying " What the Hell took you so long!"....we drank a lot of German beer for Five days...he still drank at least a half of a beer a day even on the last day!!!......love ya gramps!!!!

he had 9 Children
20 grandkids ...im the oldest..hahah
and 2 great grandkids...

I'm sorry for your loss. However it looked like a celebration of life. My grandma is 102 and still going strong. I think the oldest person is 110.

Nice post. brought a tear to my eyes as I said good by to my grandma a year ago this month. She was 95.Its a generation that is going to be sorely missed.

I still talk to grandma all the time.Me and her were always into bird watching. There is a bird that migrates through here in the spring called the varied thrush. In the spring there song sounds like a marmont whistling. You rarely see them but everybody has heard them.Well now they are my grandma birds and I always say hi when she does.
