I am still not sure what happen . I was in my shop when my son came in and told me a Sheriff car was in the yard so we walked out to look all of a sudden 2 more patrol cars came flying in , I told Cole to go in the house and lock the door. By then we had 6 patrol cars on the road and in our yard deputies pulling out AR 15's and yelling at me to get out . They had chased some guy into our orchard that was armed . The scarey part is my son was out there playing when this started to go down. What a day ! I am on my 4th Bacardi and still have not calmed down

Damn...exciting day.

Two weeks ago we heard four big shots at about 11:15pm, called the fuzz and when they came they cordoned off the street, and found four .45 casings on the sidewalk in front of our house.

The only damage was a bullet hole in the church next door, they have no idea where the other three went.

Fish on...

Whoever it was, he's lucky he didn't try to hide in my yard. Never saw or heard a car, but it was ten seconds between the shots and when I got to the kitchen window to see what was up.

My wife called me at work about 9:00 am and asked if I knew where the gut pile out by the mailbox came from. I'd slept soundly in the rec room because of a bad cold that I'd self-medicated with rum and herb tea.
I went back home, checked out the bovine sized gut pile, and also found a puddle of blood. In the back yard, a garden bench was broken, a small fir had been girdled with the bark gone and I could see where something had been dragged thru the brush toward the cul de sac.
I called the Sheriff's office and was referred to animal control. The animal control person said that two young milk cows had broken thru a fence about a 1/4 away just before dark. The owners are two sisters in their late '70's. The cows were chased down the road, almost got on to a golf course before they were chased into my backyard where both were caught. One was easily led to a trailer. The other was killed in my backyard, dragged to the cul de sac to a mobile butcher.
I told the animal control person that the butcher forgot the gut pile and when someone came to clean it up, to bring some meat from the butchered cow to replace my garden bench. The gut pile got cleaned up quickly but I received no meat.
I slept thru it all and it all took place about 60 feet from the rec room slider. The morale of the story is when you want to sleep thru anything, drink herb tea and rum.

I thought for a minute that maybe the shooter was the gungrabbers...I was considering painting up in camo, bricking over the front door, stacking sand bags at the kitchen window, and hunkering down for a showdown.

I made a quick call to the NRA but the hold music was playing "Wind Beneath Your Wings" so I hung up without leaving a message.

I support fully funded stem cell research because I think it's the "in" for me to get German Shepherds crossed with crocodiles to put in the moat I'm going to dig before the GG's get there.

Unfortunately local zoning laws don't allow for gun turrets...I've had to go with holes every six feet along the walls facing the streets.

Anyone have any idea how to get a high speed garage door opener? I'm afraid they'll rush in while it's opening before I have a clear shot with my Howitzer.

Scary stuff there (except for the cow).
Last night were at a school performance when the principal got on the mic to let everyone the police were searching for an armed bank robber on the grounds (Wallingford). As of last night one caught one on the loose.

Brought back memories of the shipyard shooter. I got to watch that one go down from my office window.

Glad everyone is ok (cept for the cow).

Call those old biddys Chuck and get your meat ;-)

We live in quiet little neighborhood in the city...gunshots here are rare and aren't caused by target shooting...at least not in the sense that you're talking about!

I'm not sure my homeowner's insurance will cover it if I'm the one who blows the door off...

But you wouldn't have had to blow the door off if it weren't for them gun grabbers. I say that makes them boys liable.
