My Dad and I are looking for some decent yet affordable blanks (glass and graphite). Preferably two piece (inline ferrule). My Dad isn't picky, trout to salmon. I'm looking for salmon/steelhead in either cast/spin and fly. Figured there's some of you that may have some old fenwick, lami, misc blanks laying around you may want to get rid of. We've been itching to build some more rods and are trying to stay away from new high cost blanks (I may have to bend a bit to build the spey rod I want, oh well). We look around, but figured I'd check here to see if any of you have any. Let me know what you have and what you want for them. Thanks.....

I have a account with Pac Bay and can get you just about any rod you want. I have listed some on my site. I generally charge 10 dollars above cost per blank. Most dealers are charing 3 to 4 times that amount. They have a line of IM6 blanks that are amazing for the price. I can also get gloomis and St Croix rods.

For my own use I am building a 4 weight flyrod blank into a ultra light spinning outfit......sweet. http://www.steelheader.net/gear/

Hey steelheader, and anyone else, How much do you think it would cost to build a 8 ft. baitcasting (meduim steelhead) , with a Gloomis blank?. Would make it out of the least but best line of blanks.

Thanks,

Thanks. I'm trying to stay away from newer loomis and St Croix but will keep that in mind. I still have some old lami and some old fenwick blanks left. But am looking for some S glass and E glass blanks and any misc in salmon/steelhead. Mostly have trout rod blanks left and are mostly in my Dad's hands now except one old fenwick flyrod glass blank I'm gonna build into a nice small stream fly rod. Thanks
