Has anyone ever dealt with Lowrance with issues with there units after the warranty has ran out. I've had this finder for over a year now and it has totally died. I'm ticked off about this because you would expect when you send over 600 dollars for something you would get more then a years use out of it.

last year i went through a similar issue as our MA9 king season started...

They will repair for a fixed fee and you are without your unit for awhile. --or--

They send you a replacement for full retail price and you send yours back for a significant credit. (half price maybe?)

For out of warranty, not a bad deal IMO.

Good luck with Lowrance customer service, plan on being left on hold for a while, then once you speak with someone, you probably won't like what you hear. Having sold marine electronics I'll just say that you couldn't give me a Lowrance product, way to many headaches involved.

AkKings since you have sold marine electronics what is your advise on a decent sounder/gps combo?
