It's looking like Mark Sanchez dodged the bullet with the Detroit Lions. And may win the lottery by being drafted #4 by our Seahawks.... Mf

Curry was rated as the best player in the draft by most experts and more than likely becomes an instant starter with the trade of AP. Pretty good #4.

Except for the 3 QBs taken early in the first round, and the lack there after. Makes me wonder if the NFL teams are about tired of taking a gamble on QBs that are no longer trained to go under center.....but are college spread QBs. For the most part.... Click here Mf

Love the Curry pick. With a QB you get stuck paying a lot for a guy who may end up a bust. You know Curry is going to start this year, and we have seen how big of an impact a rookie LB can make, see Lofa Tatupu.
Also I like the move of getting Denver's first round pick next year, because I think Denver is going to stink, we may get another top 15 pick next year. There will be some really nice QBs coming out next year.
Weird that they took the franchise tag off of Hill. He is a stud, but I got a feeling he is having some attitude issues about being franchised.

I agree with RR and the 2nd round center from Oregon is a sure sign that Chris Spencer has been declared a bust. Instant stud LB and watch closely this week as the Hawks will probably not sign Hill and use his money to sign Ken Lucas and Derrick Brooks...barring injury the Hawks will be right back in the playoff hunt this year and that pick of Denvers will be Top 10 IMO so we can get the QB of the future next year...cheers

We ain't gonna sign Ken Lucas and bring him back we already had him once, sloppy 3rd's no way.Brooks is washed. We will end up with a good QB next year, like Bradford of Tebow.Good luck, STRIKE ZONE
I'm so fired up we didn't pick "Dirty Sanchez".Curry was the right pick for us all along and we played the QB pick like pro's then swooping up on a LB. No Ken Lucas eh SZ? In fact he was named the starter today, good luck:)

Hill, Tatupu, Curry. Can't wait to see that trio in action!

There was only one team who was going to trade up this year, and that was the Redskins. Everyone with a top 4 pick wants to trade down, for the reasons you stated. Their (Skins) picks were not in the right positions for most teams, so it did not happen.
I know the Hawks looked to trade down but there was no trades available. So you can throw that argument out.
They took the best player (right now) in the draft. If you look at all LBs taken in the top 5 over the years, they mostly become pro-bowlers. Curry is the total package, 6'2", 250 ish, 4.60 40, and I just watched him power clean 350#, jeez. I don't know if he will go to the pro-bowl this year, because he is more of a total LB, great in coverage and run stuffing, but probably won't put up the sack numbers to get the recognition.
I contend that the defense will be much better, here is why:
Bigger beef up front, DTs, Cole (FA from GB), Mebane and the regular rotation. These guys will get doubled, and you will see much better linebacking because of it.
We got rid of Peterson, who has lost 1.5 steps, and before he could over-pursue and catch up, now he over pursues and arm-tackles.
Kerney is feeling good. He was a half step off last year, and normally he is one of the best pass rushers in the league. Love that guy.
We brought in Ken Lucas, who is not what he used to be, but is much more physical than Jennings.
We are still missing a physical presence at safety, but we stole Denvers first pick next year, and we have a chance at getting Taylor Mays out of USC and he is a STUD. Physically, he's just incredible.

RR- Thats exactly what I was thinking when we got Denver's 1st round pick. Mays is the total package at safety. He was the fastest guy on USC defense and hits like a truck. Kinda reminds you of another safety from USC.

"There still an 8-8 or 9-7 team if he is defensive ROY."
Well I maybe wrong but didnt a 9-7 team when the NFC West. Oh and then continued thier hot streak thru the playoff on thier way to the super bowl.
