Lettermans' problem is that he is paid to tell jokes not become a loud-mouth for the democrats. He has become too political and divisive which ain't good when ya wants to be funny.

At least if Leno tells 4 dem jokes he balances it with 4 republican jokes.

The problem with Leno is that he's not very funny...Dave tells better jokes, and making fun of right wingers these days is a good business move, to boot.

When people who get made fun of in jokes get their panties all bunched up and start calling for boycotts and firings all they do is add a ton of fuel to the fire, with nothing changing except the better ratings for the show they're bitching about...it's always been that way, so I'm always a bit surprised when someone tries to do it again.

That's true but Letterman has had egg on his face for a week now and several apologies later he is still trying to dig himself out of that hole. I suppose that being neck and neck in the ratings against Conan this may be a good move temporarily but in the long run he may be chasing some viewers away.

I still can't stand Conan so I'll watch Letterman or Bill Maher. I do get a laugh out of Craig Ferguson since he is certifiably crazy (in a good way)

I've been calling all the sponsors on that list and pledging my support to them as long as they continue to support and advertise on Letterman.

I'm sure Tampax and Massengill are relieved....
