I have a G-Loomis PMR 1024C-DR [DOWNRIGGER ROD], 8.5 foot, lure wt 3/8 to 4oz, line wt 10 to 20lb. Very good condition.
This rod has not been made by loomis for several years, and is arguably the finest downrigger rod EVER made for salmon. This rod is also a very good river plug rod for steelhead and salmon.
This rod has the spiraled line guides that alow the last seven line guides[tip section] to be under the rod like a spinning pole.
Since I do not have a boat any more, I was considering having the line guides retied to turn the rod to a conventional baitcaster rod configuration, and use it to sling spoons and buzzbombs off Whidbey Island beaches for salmon this summer.
I thought I would list it here first, to see if there was any interest in this rod, since this is a very difficult rod to find... before I tear into it.
I would be interested in a trade or partial trade for a Loomis casting rod for Whidby beach fishing, preferably an STR 1086C GL-2, but will consider other trades or cash offer.
