doe's anyone know of a dealer around the monroe or everett area i am looking to buy the metaloid md40 spinning reel.the only tackle shop around here that i know of is sky valley traders and they don't have one just a baitcaster.i need to find one soon to replace the shimano that i broke today this reel sounds like it is very nice.doe's anybody use this model?thanks for any info later,Bruce

GI Joes in Lynnwood was carrying Okumas, I do not remember seeing the metaloid, however, might be worth checking.

I live up North as well and I had no luck finding anyone local that sold okumas, so online seemed to be the only choice. I just picked up a metaloid 30 off of ebay and am looking for an md 40 as well. There is one for sale on ebay with a pretty fair buy it now price.

well i picked up an okuma tonight from jerrys surplus in everett,the only metaloid they had was the md20 but they had the epixor ef40 so i got that one,it seems like it is pretty much the same reel as the metaloid 40 the drag seems to be really smooth,it's got the 10 bearings and they aren't kidding when they say instant hook sets because there is no slop in this reel at all.on my old shimano it had about a half a turn of slop but that is because it's a quick fire so thanks for all the help with this and now hopefully i will get to try it out tomorrow,later Bruce

Just curious about the prices at the surplus store in Everett? What did the ef40 run ya? I got an md40 for $76 off of ebay and was curious if they were close in price?

this may be too late or too far out of your area but a fishing tackle shop in portland carrys okuma. ollie damon's on grand ave. the guys there are good wood and might be able to help you find something.
