It might be a little early yet, but I guess I can't wait till goose season. Does anyone have any good places to buy shotgun shells ( 3" - 3.5") for a decent price?
Thanks

I used to shoot a few of the feathered buggers myself. I'd buy a pallet of Estate steel sheels from Kesselring's every year for my dad and I to shoot. Always got a good break from Donny up there.

Probably not too early. You can shoot geese 'round here in less than 2 weeks.

I have noticed over the past couple years, a lot of places dont really get a good selection of steel shot until hunting season. But if you want to try the Sportsmens Warehouse in Mt Vernon has a good selection.

If you want to do the leg work I would check some of the hardware stores that still carry sporting goods. Sometimes they dont sell enough and have to get rid of the older stuff. I have scored on steelshot for 7 to 9 dollars a box on occasion. Its not a sure thing but its out there.

I thought Cabelas had a decent price on the case but they would not let me mix and match the shot sizes I wanted. I did not want ten boxes of all the same shot size.

Has anyone ever tried internet shopping for them and had any success?

Stopped in at Bob's Sporting goods in Longview this weekend on my way to the Columbia and noticed the prices on shells were not the greatest, maybe they will go on sale when he stocks up for the upcoming season?

cheaperthandirt.com is the only way to go when buying ammo anymore. buy a couple cases at a time and you'll save quite a bit.

Yep...they kill. Nothin wrong with them! I shoot BB's at all waterfowl.

When I was buying from Kesselring's, the first couple of years it was Estate brand, then they started stocking PMC's. I burned through quite a few of each brand.

That's just the early season Jake. It will reopen for the remainder in October.
