Not my elk, but one taken today in the area I was hunting.




9x10 if you counted all points. HUGE bull.

Could have limited on grouse if I'd brought a shotgun today. Saw a few cows, and that was it for me.

I've seen palmation in blacktails but never like that in an elk, cool looking rack.

Very cool looking bull. I would have shot it for sure.

What are you looking for up there Dogfish? Something like 350+ or just a big animal? You should see the skull my dad has in his office from that unit. Just massive but only 4x4.

I have seen a lot of grouse this year compared to years past. As a matter of fact I have seen at least one on every scouting or hunting trip I have been on.

The other day I considered shooting the road/ground in front of a grouse with my ML to see if I could kill it with gravel percussion, but decided against it.
