What is decent priced and what are you going to use the dog for? I bought a golden bred for hunting from a woman in Colorado for about $500....which according to my research was a decent price.

Check with your local vet clinic. They are able to give you information on breeders in your area and make some recommendations depending on your use for the dog such as companionship only or companionship & hunting.

I have called every place in the phone book and have only found one dog that cost 1100
I am looking for something around 400.

If anyone has any info leading to a golden retriever pup.
