Epidemic or not, I don't plan on losing one of my kids to a flu bug when I coulda gotten them a vacination for it. Not that I think getting the swine flu is a death sentance but some kids have died and its not a chance I am willing to take.
My decision comes from talking with my kids doc, not the media. Thing is, you wont lose your kids. But by vaccinating them for swine flu with the new vaccines, they have a higher risk of developing complications. Do the research. The regular flu and Swine flu going around this year isn't any different in terms of symptoms and severity than any other year. The difference is, the vaccinations specifically developed for the Swine flu contain both mercury and squalene... Not good for kids, or anyone, at all. Go ahead and get them the vaccination developed for the seasonal flu, steer clear of untested and hastily developed Swine flu vaccine.

Back when I was a kid, maybe. Now, if I need to steal a screen from the faucet, I just do it instead of substituting aluminum foil.

Our youngest cannot take any flu vaccine because of the Guillian Barre Sydrome he came down with this year.
If enough immunizations occur, then we would likely reach "herd immunity".
Have my flu shot already. Not sure on the H1N1, but I won't be getting my information from the media. I ask my doc.
