I was at that game. This regions first experience with pennant fever. I still have my Refuse To Lose sign and stubs from all of the playoff games. What a year. I remember during the runup to catch the Angels when everyone was glued to the radio everywhere you went. My wife and I were coming back from the Puyallup fair on the freeway when Vince Coleman hit a grand slam on his birthday and the entire freeway were honking their horns and flashing their lights. So many great things about this game but one of my favorites was when they brought Randy Johnson in from out of the bullpen. It was like unleashing the beast. So put your eighth inning rally caps on and relive the moment.

That is one of the highlights of my youth. That was the first time I ever found myself leaping from my ass to the cieling in one fluid motion. I smashed my hands and sprained two fingers badly but didnt even noticed until the M's got done beating the hell out of Griff as he touched home plate. WOW what a year.

Might as well watch it. Because it sure as hell din't repeat itself.

I recorded the game and really enjoyed watching it again... I was in Left Field for the game, and it was fun to see it again, somehilights:

* ARod pinch running, and being so obviously "new" to the team and league, He's hidden in the clubhouse when they try to find him to pinch run!
* Jim Leyritz almost getting thrown out and the announcers being all dramatic about "Jorge Posada being the ONLY other option"
* A supre respectable start for Andy Benes
* Randy pitching 3 innings (in my mind it was 2)
* Jack McDowell pitching
* Brent Mussberger (who I hate) with his lame "Put it on the board' calls, especially on the double, not HR, sorry Brent.

Anyways, it was a lot of fun reliving it.
