First off, I hope this is in the right section. If not then please accept my humble apologies.

I used to be pretty active on another fishing forum. You know, the one with, among other things has a moderator who lives in Costa Rica and puts down America every chance he gets. On that forum I was placed in the doghouse to many times there for speaking honestly and correctly. In short, it is over-moderated and seems to only want a left leaning viewpoint. So, I have been looking for a different place in which to spend my time.

I was introduced to this forum a few days ago from another member who was as frustrated as I was. He sent me the link to this thread: http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/forum...html#Post547212

I pretty much agree with all that was said. I read through it and knew I found a much better place to spend some of my time.

The veterens know what an FNG is, and I am one on this forum, but not to fishing or owning a boat. The Marine veterens will also know how I came up with my moniker. grin

My "home" area is anywhere on the North Oregon coast including the Rockpile and Chicken Ranch (on nice days). The wife makes sure we spend 2 weeks doing the B-10 thing in August. My boat is your run of the mill 21ft aluminum sled that I'm trying my best to wear out. It is equiped with Folbe rodholders which the wife loves. (Thanks eyefish!!) I do nearly all of my own work and maintenance.

smile Welcome, FNG! Thick skin and a sense of humor along with an obscene desire to catch fish is about all you'll need to get along here.

I wouldn't even say Left Leaning.

I'd say batshit cuckoo tunnel-vision Nursery School Leaning.

That place is run like a religious cult. One that allows its adherents to fish, but only with 'kosher' equipment.

The best way to handle iFish is to make a googlebomb so that any tourist or newbie looking for fishing info for Oregon and SWW get their top 3 search results as "Avoid iFish."

Welcome BAMCIS. Dont worry to much about getting banned here. Just follow the posted rules and if people dont like ya they just ignore ya (or chew your ass a little). Almost like real life.

There are 5 community boards here just click "Open Community Boards" at the top and you will see what they are about. The board you have posted in now gets called "the dark side". Almost anything goes here. You'll catch on......................I'm still working at it..

WOW. Glad to see I'm not alone. However, I'm a bit surprised. I thought I was being perhaps a little unreasonable. But from what I'm reading here and in the link Nanook Willie posted it would appear I am not being unreasonable. Thanks guys, and of course you gals.
