I sold off my 1143 after a year of use. That rod was the heaviest yet weakest piece of junk I used.

I honestly do not see why people have such a fascination with that rod.

A year and a half, and many fish later, I still don't miss that rod.

Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I *DO* own an Allstar 1143s. I have only used it for bobber/jig fishing on the Quinault. I liked it for floats over my 1083s.

My beef is with the 1143c, not 1143s.
