Had a smash and grab on my wifes car late Friday afternoon at Rotary Park in Lowell (Everett), got her purse. As soon as she called me I called the bank to cancel her debit card and they had already rented 3 movies at a Red Box video kiosk. She saw a white pickup with dark windows and a canopy casing the parking lot (she was the only car there) and managed to get most of the lisence number. They didn't get any keys or garage door openers-- just the purse with ID and credit cards.

They steal your wife's purse and go rent movies......brain dead idiots...the drugs were probably kicking in and they wanted to relax after a hard day's "work". Hope they get 'em Jerry!

Take it from me, who got hit early Friday morning:

Don't leave ANYTHING in your cars, especially garage door openers!

It's the same as leaving a key to your house in a glass box sitting out in your driveway.

That must be why the new garage doors came with key fob openers along with the traditional ones that clip on the car visor. I've never been particularly security conscious all my life, but there's been so much [censored] this past year I can't decide how much firepower I should buy to back up the security system.

The old was was a Craftsman Circa 1972. the remote was about the size of cigarette 100's. The new Genie remotes are the size of clam.
It also came with a keypad that I installed outside. Very handy.

I had a garage door opener in my honda and my sis had one in her jeep. They didnt touch them, they must have been extra high.
