Nice job!
Just waiting for some weather to push them down. Some migrators are making their way down but not in big quantities. This always seems to happen during Elnino years. I did see about 30 woodies this morning on one of the local ponds. There are always some woodies there but never that many.

Keith Bring weather....maybe ya got a honey hole, but no massive influx of new birds...lots of scratchin for a few quackers. Mild temps, full moon, and all the water is open still. The birds might be feedin once a day. Not worth the drive from Wenatchee to the South Basin for me yet.

Wow, that is an awesome shoot D3s!
My area is just starting to see a few fresh birds, but not in numbers big enough to get me excited yet either. I like to hunt my spots quick 2-3 hours max per hole, and I like there to be good solid morning flights before I start spending the time to chase birds. I probably will start in earnest around x-mas.

Spent the past weekend chasing roosters around potholes. Didn't see hardly any ducks flying and heard very little shooting for what would be normal for this time of year. Yep-all the water still open.
Did see tons of geese flying off the CR but they where landing in the preserve or private land.
Did talk to one farmer who told us we where free to hunt all the coyotes we wanted but no on the winged critters. May take him up on that once the snow starts to fall???
Between 2 springers and my britt we flushed 6 hens and 3 roosters but they where a running, running, running so we weren't able to put any in the bag..................Next time!

BB- take him up on the coyotes, take him some fresh seafood and re-visit the geese next year. Build that relationship and you could probably be hunting geese in his fields in the next 1-2 years.
I have been having a blast with the cacklers, aleutians and other geese down in SW WA but havent seen much in region 3 where i could hunt them every day. i hope they show up a little bit so i can get in a friday hunt plus some scouting for saturday further south.

I live on the river in So. Elma so I can see the flights early and late before and after work, and there have not been many. Actually the geese and swans tend to arrive together, and I just saw my first flock of swans last Thurs.
I am seeing a few flocks here and there, but not on public ground, and definitely not moving around my favorite spots. I kill 90% of my public birds in the first 2 weeks and last 4 weeks of the season.
On the weekend mornings, we can hear the hunting shots in the valley and have not heard many after 9 am, except on T-day there was more shooting than I had heard all season.
