While there are lots of good things about Hank, the fact that he is a 49er fan is not one of them
In an attempt to rile up the Seahawk fans around here, he has made the following thoughtful and considerate challenge:

Well guess what boyz and gurlz; the Niners are coming to a Qwest Field near you and they're gonna beat the Fawks like a H.S. bully beats a freshman.Those poor,pitiful Fawks will be huffin' and a puffin' while they're tryin' to chase down Gore once again. The few times Hassled-beck is able to get a pass off while falling backwards he'll find out his best receivers are Bly and Spencer. The few times Juiced Jonesed gets past the Niner D Line he'll run into that Willis/Spikes brick wall. STUFF!
In the mean time your DB's are going to wonder how Davis and Crabtree got so WIDE OPEN. "Who's that Smith guy?" will be the words that come out of their stunned mouths.

So...there it is.
Anyone who wants to get in on this kindhearted gesture, this is the thread to do it on.
Some will win their bets, some will lose...but in the end, it's the disadvantaged and disabled kids who might get a chance to go fishing who all win in the end, and I think we can all agree that we all win in that situation!
The losers in the various bets that I hope will emerge will pay for the gear, and the winners will get the satisfaction of knowing that they helped out the C.F.K. foundation. The losers of the bets will pay me directly, but they will pay me only at cost...and I will pay for the shipping.
The only ones who will gain materially will be the kids, and the rest of us will gain spiritually, knowing that in the Holiday Season we have done a good thing for fish, fishing, and the next generation of fishermen.

http://www.castforkids.org/They're based here in Renton, and will be having a fundraising auction this coming spring, and all the proceeds will benefit kids right here in our neck of the woods...and even you guys who don't live around here can feel good about the fact that it's a good thing.
When all is said and done and I ship off the box of goodies to them, every single person who participates will be listed as a donor, and the donation will be in everyone's name, including PP's, since this is where it's happening.
Hawks/49er's smack talk is encouraged if it will encourage people to participate, but remember that this thread is mainly intended to get folks to get into the holiday feeling and help out some kids who need the help, help that we are able to give.
So...let it begin. I'll reserve the next spot in this thread for updates and lists of participants to help keep track.
