No. I didn't. I got to hunt deer 2 days. I saw animals both days, but never got a shot. I had huge plans to do lots of scouting and hunting this year, but my remodel project just ran on and on. I had planned last Thursday off to go hunting, but had to schedule countertops that day.

Then I had Dec 15th off, to go with a friend of mine, but I had a municipal client call for a meeting, and with the tough economy, I can't miss the chance to score a sale. Then on the 16th I got an e-mail from said buddy, and he said it was amazing. He saw 20 blacktails, 5 bucks, and he shot a nice fat doe.

This remodel thing pretty much shut down 2009 as far as hunting for me.

Here's the pics you requested:

Here is my opening day buck from the Snake River canyon. Nothing huge, but a successful hunt all the same.

Hoping to get out this weekend or the next. Coming into this season I knew I wasn't going to have a lot of time on my hands so I let a couple of buddies of mine in on my strawberry patch. Opening morning of rifle season about 10 minutes after daylight my phone rings. I'm done, it is absolutely pouring, can you bring your big wheelbarrow? Two days later I'm packing to head to Hawaii and the phone rings. The racks not huge but this thing is built like a small horse, can you come help me? Hopefully I'll be calling those two back soon.

Hey Steelie Tamer-
Nice having you in camp this year, hope you can make it next year. They arent the biggest bucks but I think they eat better than blacktail. Hope your catchin some fish, My boy and I have been whackin and stackin the ducks... He got his first band a couple weeks ago.

It was a good year for our freezers this year, no real wall-hangers to speak of. We have seven of us hunting in the family now, ages 13 to 68. We ended up with 9 deer, 3 bears, and 1 elk. Five of the deer and the elk we got in Idaho, one deer in Oregon, and
three deer and the bears in Washington.

Am still really technologically challenged. Can I add a photo by uploading it from my computer? I'll have to learn how to do it by URL.

Wow! How many freezers do you own!

That's some good work there!

My fav is the 4x4 blacktail with the bow.

Nice!
