So the wife and I were being lazy and didn't want to cook. I made a run to go through the drive thru. As I get my food I grabbed a fry and it was way cold (always at this place) so I went back inside and asked for some fresh food. The lady seemed irritated and said they will bring it to my car. So I waited awhile and notice a cop car pulling into the parking lot. At the exact time my food is run out. The cop says something quickly to the worker and then approaches my car.

He then asks me to get out of my car and then tells me they have a report of somebody saw me drinking a Coor light in my car.

I was completly blown away! The real kicker is I on't Drink! He then asks if I had been and if he can take a look in my car. I said go for it!

After a half ass inspection he looks at me and says, You don't seem like you have been drinking have a nice day.

I was totally freaked out and confused. By the time i got home I got it together and called the place and bitched out the manager big time. She told me sorry and it must have been a mix up.....

I'm still pissed. Sorry guys had to vent.

I'd say thats worth free fries for life.

That is why I never send food back for replacement.There is always some dickwad that will screw with you.Point out to the officer that the report was in response to complaint about the food and insist on him pursuing a false report for the retaliation.You could point out that if they actually thought they saw an open container in your car,why didn't they report it the first time thru the drive thru.You also don"t know what they might have done to your food.How about giving us the address and location for this Mcdonalds,so we can avoid it.BTW My wife managed a Mcdonald's for 12 years.She has fired numerous employees for customer complaint retaliation of a lot less severity than yours.

Be very careful sending food back at any eating establishment, you're next otder of " fresh food" stands a good chance of being laced with something you DON'T want.

Dude, never, never, never, never send food back at a McDonalds. Never! Especially when you are in your car and can't see what they are doing. There was this douche I knew in school, name was Earl. He was a line cook there. He chewed copenhagen, every returned order got a little bit of extra sauce. He told me he figured that he spit in over 150 hamburgers in a 6 month period before he quit. That is no sh!t. The McDonalds by the Capital Mall, back around 1995 so if any of you sent back during that time frame. You ate spit.

When you go to McDonalds, you are going to get food that is garbage. Sure it tastes pretty good, but it is bad in so many ways. Just accept the fact that it is going to be garbage, with bottom of the barrel QC, and every now and then you'll get a dud. How many employees give a sh!t at those wages? Often times at a McDonald's the best floor employee, the one who tries the hardest, is the developmentally disabled one who mops the floor. You can usually count on them for a smile, and to really hustle.

The person who was bringing out your food probably really despised you. They were just retaliating in the best way they knew how. You can't count on them to be a very "big picture" type of employee.

I've eaten a ton of fast food on long road trips.
I'd hate to think of what fu*ked up things I've eaten.
Last year in Wyoming, I stopped at a KFC.
I watched this greasy haired lowlife with multiple facial piercings smashing my food together with his filthy bare hands.
I was starved after a week in the hills and gagged it down.
That was in October and I still get this lump in my throat as I remember the looks and the techniques of that highly skilled food handler.
That was about it for me.
My kid goes to school with some kids that worked at a fast food joint.
They told my kid that they would have contests as to who could do the most disgusting deeds to people's food.
Boogers, lungers, "sacking" wiping the patty on the floor, you name it.
I think it happens all the time.
Fu*kin disgusting.

I'm pretty much done with the sh!t.
I pack a big ice chest with road trip food now.

Learn something new every day! I'm glad I steer clear of McD and most fast food joints as a matter of long habit and principle. However, I do eat breakfast at McDs cuz I mistakenly believed who can screw up scrambled eggs, hotcakes, and sausage?

In HS I delivered pizza for spending $. It was a pretty good deal as they supplied the cars (yeah stupid to give high school boys a car). Anyway, one of the guys was a shroomer and used to put shrooms on the pizza. I rarely eat anything take out because you never know what is happening between you and the kitchen.

Its not just fast food. Large food and meat processing plants, sit and dine resturaunts, buffets, and maybe even your own family. Anybody at any time can do something to your food if they are preparing it. If you want 100% assurance that your food is not being focked with then you need to prepare it yourself.

I never really understood why someone would get so mad at you for something they did. They get mad at you because they cant do something as simple as serve hot food.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my mom used to spit loogies in my mashed potatoes.
