I'm an asshole.  Okay, now for something you didn't know. Headed to the WDFW region 6 office today and had my elk measured. 316 gross, 8 inches of deductions, for a 308 net! Book is 290 for Boone & Crocket. I had green scored the bull at 306 2/8".  Blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

Bad ass. A remarkable day when after years of hard hunting you take a special animal that is big enough to go book. Not that the numbers dictate the quality of the hunt, but an animal usually needs to be more than mature to grow to those proportions and with that age he usually has acquired superior survival skills. Good on you Dog, that is a great bull.
