Pretty cool. I bet he just started at smaller distances and then cranked it up further and further. I wonder how much the paddle tread helped, or if the speed was enough without the paddles?

I have actually done something like that, except on skimboards. We had a contest for who could skim across the longest section of a river/creek that was about 4' deep in the middle. One of my cousins has footage but he is a dickhead and I can't get it from him.

I won the contest.

I gotta say, that's pretty darn cool. Especially when you consider the penalty for failure ain't just gettin wet!
