Not surprised you wingnuts ignored the latest news since it doesn't support your fantasies: "nothing in the more than 1,000 stolen e-mails, or the controversy kicked up by their publication, challenged scientific consensus that "global warming is happening and that it is induced by human activity."" http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2011482792_climate31.html

Your link basically says the Britsh government investigation says they did nothing wrong in "losing" the data. Do you really believe that? Is that as corrupt as when our government investigates the wrong doings of it's members? Yeah, forgive me if I don't quite buy that. And as many times as I read it, nowhere does it say their data was correct.

Maybe you need glasses and/or a foil hat removal specialist?
LONDON — The first of several British investigations into the e-mails leaked from one of the world's leading climate research centers has largely vindicated the scientists involved.
The House of Commons' Science and Technology Committee said Wednesday that it had seen no evidence to support charges that the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit (CRU) or its director, Phil Jones, had tampered with data or perverted the peer review process to exaggerate the threat of global warming — two of the most serious criticisms levied against the climatologist and his colleagues.
In its report, the committee said that, as far as it was able to ascertain, "the scientific reputation of Professor Jones and CRU remains intact," adding that nothing in the more than 1,000 stolen e-mails, or the controversy kicked up by their publication, challenged scientific consensus that "global warming is happening and that it is induced by human activity."
The 14-member committee's investigation is one of three launched after the dissemination, in November, of e-mails and data stolen from the research unit. The e-mails appeared to show scientists berating skeptics in sometimes intensely personal attacks, discussing ways to shield their data from public-records laws, and discussing ways to keep skeptics' research out of peer-reviewed journals. One that attracted particular media attention was Jones' reference to a "trick" that could be used to "hide the decline" of temperatures.
The e-mails' publication ahead of the Copenhagen climate-change summit sparked an online furor, with skeptics of man-made climate change calling the e-mails' publication "Climategate" and claiming them as proof that the science behind global warming had been exaggerated — or even made up altogether.
Phil Willis, the committee's chairman, said of the e-mails that "there's no denying that some of them were pretty appalling." But the committee found no evidence of anything beyond "a blunt refusal to share data," adding that the idea that Jones was part of a conspiracy to hide evidence that weakened the case for global warming was clearly wrong.
In a briefing to journalists ahead of the report's release, Willis said the controversy would ultimately help buttress the case for global warming by forcing the University of East Anglia — and other research institutions — to stop hoarding their data.
"The winner in the end will be climate science itself," he said

Now you're getting the hang of it Really though, all I see out of this whitewashed "report" is a lot of non sense. The fact that the climate data was "lost" or more likely destroyed by Jones and his cohorts after FOIA requests doesn't make you the least bit suspicious? Certainly does me. Especially since the report completely shrugs off that little tidbit. It like me saying "let me review your homework to make sure you came to the correct answers for your algebra problems". Then you say "sorry the dog ate my homework,......I have all the answers though and they're right, just trust me." Paaalease.

Whether you believe he "lost" it or "destroyed" it, either way it's gone. Some just find it a little coincidental that he was questioned on the data, emails were hacked then he says it was "lost". I'll bet you gave no quarter when Bush and Rove couldn't prove WMDs Were in Iraq.

more likely destroyed by Jones Citation for your assertion please...................... Thought so. Oh that's right,......the dog ate it. My mistake. We can agree though on Bush, Rove, Cheney et al. Them phuckers need to face a grand jury before this country ever gains any international credibilty it lost during that fiasco.

In all fairness, congress was asked for a decloration of war and got it from a majority of both parties. Are those not just as guilty? They had the same information.

Congress never issued a formal delcaration of war but rather a resolution. That was their end run around the Constitution and completely illegal. Richard Perle even admitted so in 2003. What's worse is that the resolution was passed to enforce a UN Security Council resolution effectively making the US the police force of world government. Members of congress are guilty. Members of the intelligence community are guilty. Members of the excutive branch are guilty. There's a lot of $hit pie to go around for that one.

Yup.......................a rather unsurprising state of affairs given the source, don't you think ? With regards to the 'same information', that'd be strike two bait dunker. I'm not gonna rake him over the coals for it,.....I'll leave that to you Didn't see where we were keeping score here. Honest mistake perhaps but you better learn to get that one straight BD before asking me to extend any kind of clemency to that gang of fools and criminals.
