Note to self: When being pursued on riverbank after jacking a car, after eating $hit, bashing head, and falling in river, lay down on ground when cop points gun and tazer at you, rather than wait for the tazer to lay yer ass down for you.

He sure moved alot faster when he saw the dog, and it looked like he was going for his gun in the instant before he got tazed.

In Oregon, you don't have to catch it to claim it. Just so long as you can pose with it for a picture.

Cop showed pretty good restraint to use the yellow gun in the left hand. If I was standing 8' from a dude who jsut stole a car, ran from me, and is now reaching for a gun in his waistband... I probably would have used the black gun in the right hand...

Certainly was going for it,.....right there in his waistband.

Kudos on the cops. That has to be a tough split second decision.

Looks to me like the guy was trying to commit suicide by cop. Pretty amazing it didn't happen actually. Not sure about the practice of having both hands full with regard to the officer. Lots of triggers and fingers, easy to get confused. Pretty remarkable job on the officers part to say the least.

It almost looks staged....I'm really suprised that the dog didn't chew him up.
