After much thought, I've decided to sell my favorite rod, a G.Loomis STR1024c, 8-12# rated.
This rod is perhaps the best small stream driftrod ever built...excellent for summer runs and coho. Over the years I have used this model rod for many different types of steelhead and salmon fishing, and though it's not made for giant fish or giant rivers, it's caught its share of big steelhead and large salmon.
The one I'm selling is three years old, and has not been used much...and it pains me more to see it unused on my rack than it does to sell it, so it's for sale.
As I said, it's a G.Loomis STR 1024c, 8-12# rod...it's been used lightly, but it has been used.
Most folks probably know what this rod looks like, but here's a link to the Loomis website where this rod is:
G.Loomis STR1024c Retail on this rod is $280, and as you probably know, there's no such thing as a sale on Loomis rods, so this is the retail price wherever you buy it.
Since it's got a few trips on it, I'm asking for $175.00...which also happens to be close to the price of the new spoon rod I've got my eye on!
I'm on the road now, but I'll be home in a few days...I live in Seattle. Short distance pickups or dropoffs are good, but if it has to go any longer distance, shipping will probably be about an extra ten bucks or so...I'll ship it in a plastic rod tube in a Loomis rod sock.
Thanks, guys.
Fish on...
Todd
