I have a 5 year old AKC Springer female. Anybody have a stud looking to make a "love connection"? She's never been bred and I don't know much about the whole process (except the birds & bees part). Pick of the litter? Stud fee? PM if interested. She's black & white, loves water & kids.

FYI Springer bitches bear huge litters.

Our first carried a litter of 24.

Problem with this is the risk of rupturing the uterus. This happens you'll be lucky to save 1 or 2 of the pups.

You need a very competent Vet, and you need to take her in for constant check ups incase things get out of hand and a C-section is needed. Consider whether or not you can afford those vet bills before you start.

Also stock up on heating pads, dog formula, nursing bottles, nipples, and antiseptic along with your usual whelping box and other fun stuff.

PS, when we used to do it "Stud Fee" either meant the cash value of one pup OR pick of the litter, stud owner's choice.
