I am searching for a Fenwick FS 83 Fiberglass Spinning Rod if anyone has one or knows where to get one.

I am looking for one to replace the one that belongs to my buddies son. I accidently broke it and would like to replace it for him.

Looking for a whole rod but if someone has just the top end, that will do.

Thanks,
Rafterman

R45,
Is it one of the old ones with the metal guides and alum reel seat? If so, I have one in the original Fenwick triangle tube!!

It has the standard style guides with the inserts. It does have the aluminum reel seat and a neoprene handle. I will add pictures as soon as I get them uploaded. I will check with my friend. He may be interested in the one with the all metal guides.

Driftwood, check out the Lamiglass Classic Glass CG82DR...it's a 8'2" fiberglass rod, rated 8-20#...really soft tip, really sturdy butt section...it's based on the design of the old FS83C plug rods.

I have two that I use for my plug rods, and they are excellent...and at less than $70 a pop, they're tough to beat.

Fish on...

Todd

Chrome/22,
It was actually a freak accident with a fish coming unbuttoned.
My buddy and his son were standing behind a bunch of us casting into a hole. I had a fish hooked for just a moment. But as I was putting the final monster pull of the hook-set, it came loose.
My pencil lead, leader and hook all came straight back at me at warp speed. I had just enough time to duck and yell "HEADS-UP" as it passed by me heading straight at my two friends. eek eek

My buddy's son was holding his rod vertically with the butt on the ground. The pencil lead hit his rod just above where the two halves come together and shattered it. It's actually a good thing that it hit his rod, because it would have hit him square in the face.
