Miss this week up there. Used to see them buzz by my office when I worked in City Center Bldg downtown Bellevue.

Those guys have one of the coolest jobs on the planet.

I've never seen a choir boy puking in a pot, or a bucket, or the bushes, or out the side of a hot tub (twice)...

The cool thing about seeing them cruise by today is that they were in full landing mode...I live pretty close to King. Co. airport...so they were barely moving, so it seemed.

Just as loud as when on full step, only creeping by...was able to get a far better look at the planes and the paintjobs than usual...and they didn't come in formation, since they were landing...just one after another, about a minute and half apart, and the the sound from the first was still echoing when the last one came in...rattled the windows, they did!

As much as I like seeing them, I'll be happy to be out of town fishing this weekend, since I'll be close enough to see them a few times and won't have to deal with the traffic snarls that inevitably ensue when they come by and they close the bridges...

I used to have an office downtown over looking the bay. The Angels would buzz the building so close you could look right in the cockpit. The best year was when the Carrier came in and did take offs and landings right out front. The bay looked like a Pearl Harbor attack with all of the jets buzzing the place.

I think they know Seastrike is a puker. . . . they don't need that . . . .

Anybody else gonna be on the Lake Friday to watch the show? I may splash the boat and run down to the 90 bridge and watch. Did it a couple years ago and it was a good show ! ! Gotta watch out for the big boats though, they don't pay attention to where they are going so good (some of them) . . . . . . .

I can't decide.

If I could donate a nut and either

a. Take a ride with one of the Blue Angels

b. Take a ride in the McLaren 2-holer F1 car

Blue Angels are cool...

But nothing ever will top the time I was hiking on the Oregon Coast and a F-14 Tomcat came in off the ocean just over the treetops. He pulled a 45º bank and the pilot threw me a thumbs up as he passed over. I think I was about 12 and about creamed my jeans. No one else was around to see it and all the other guys said I was full of schit.

The Blue Angels always remind me of that but they operate about 2000+ feet higher up.

Hell, ya got two nuts, and you're probably done havin' kids, so do both.

Because you're doing 200mph 2" off the ground, and 2 feet from a concrete wall.

Speed needs a reference point to be properly appreciated.

I've flown in some pretty fast aerobatic aircraft, but they all had props.............. nothing with afterburners.

That's why goharley's idea was so good. You'd be about the coolest mo'fo on earth if you got to do both. It might be worth saying goodbye to the jewels.
