I am looking to purchase a New or Used rod.
Here is the deal. I fish the salmon in the fall mostly. Fish are 5 - 12 lbs.
Bait is a corkie with a yarn tied on by the hook, sometimes some roe tide on above the hook.
A lead weight is then tied on above the bait so it bounces across the bottom of the river.
I do not know what I need other than a good rod with some backbone to fight the fish. Please help me out.

Looking for a Rod, but a rod reel combo will work.

I can be reached here or @

If you don't mind less $$, Berkley has some nice rods for around $80....medium and heavy 1 piece rods....around 8ft. In Loomis thats a 1021c, HSR1021 GL2 or GL3, magnum taper, great rod!

Second for the Berkeley Air IM7 rods. Cabela's has them on line. They make a 8-12 and 10-20 in casting and spinning in 8'6" length. VERY sensitive, lightweight, and very reasonably priced at 69.99. If your fish are 5-12 pounds, go with the 8-12 model - you'll have more fun and it will be more sensitve. Good luck.
