i recently found this, anyone recall Skin Yard? as for as i can tell this is the band that came from the ashes of Grunt Truck. saw GT twice and thought they were very good. they were my 1st ever seattle band i saw, they opened up for AIC.

Grunge may have been a flash in the pan, but it didn't happen long enough ago for it to be "old."

I saw Gruntruck in Everett years ago. One of my favorite bands. The lead singer was so drunk he was falling on and hanging on his guitar player, falling down on stage, etc. I think it was shortly after that the band split.

Gruntruck was cool. So was Forced Entry. Don't seem to remember these guys though. Then again, considering the state of mind I was in for almost that entire decade, I'm surprised I remember anything of it at all.

The Melvins are playing later this month. I was invited but I've already seen them so many times, I don't know if I want hear it all again.

i saw the melvins once... i've banned from every other show since. evidently that lead singer doesn't like a stage diver.... who kicks him in the balls first!

Don't remember Skin Yard, but do remember Grunt Truck opening for AIC. Saw them in Yakima at the Convention Center...that was a heck of a show. Bags of grass flying through the air with Jerry Cantrell stuffing his pockets full, Layne Staley passing his beer cup to the front rowers (I was front and center), packed like sardines, ahhh, good stuff.

yup brewer was there!!! never been to anything like that before. i had no clue what was going to happen when GT hit the stage. i was standing in what will become the danger zone. next thing i knew i got gang smashed into the baracade!!! then getting jacked in the head by bodies!

i knew very little at the time who AIC was. just man in the box. knew nothing of SY. you can say living in yakima i was in the dark. that show opened my eyes. from then on i began to break the chains of heavy metal. i soon became grunge music junky.
