I'm heading for Dry Falls on 5/19 - 20 with a couple of other lucky guys. What can I expect? Will the damsels be running by then? Any other hatches I might expect?

Of course, I'm going to keep working on my chronie skill building program. I've heard black and green chronies are winners. Any experience with other chronie colors at Dry Falls?

What would you advise to strike it rich at the Falls?

Ace, I was over there last weekend with the big wind, I may go over also next weekend. Green is the ticket on the chrono's. I was also getting fish on the dragon nymphs. Maybe I'll see you there. eek

Trout Master,

I'm working on my "NO-WIND-DANCE" right now. Just in case it fails, I'm rigging up the fleet of Water Masters(2 gray ones w/ black and yellow stripes)with sails . Do you think wind trolling at 50 MPH would be effective? Thanks for the pattern tips! It would be great to meet you, so if you're on the lake, look me up.

Hey Ace, Dry Falls is my Home Lake as I live near there. I don't fish it as much anymore as I've beat it to death.
One tip for sunny warm weather though is that the fish will often retreat to 22-23' of water. You can still chronomid them using a fast sink and fishing off the tip of your rod(no bobber).Marking your line and having a depth finder becomes critical as they like it a foot off the bottom and depth IS critical. When this happens, patterns with an everglow or silver mylar rib will get more attention in the murky depths.
Good luck, you won't be alone,so get there early.
