We fished Banks lake last sunday and this saturday. Both days we got on the water at 6:am.

Last weekend right off the bat I caught a 19" 4 pound rainbow.

We then went after bass. Fished for about 30 mins with out a hit. Just when I was thinking it was to early I got my 1st small mouth of the year. little over 2 pounds. in the next 4-5 hours we caught and released many bass most over 2 pounds none under 1 1/2 pounds.

This weekend we started right into it for bass. 1st cast a nice 2 pounder. caught about 8 other in the next 2 hours all nice fish. We then moved near Steam boat and caught a few nice bass there and I got 18" 3 1/2 pound rainbow right near the raocks on my bass plug. Then nothing. We moved back south and started getting reall small bass on about every 3rd cast. One cast I caught 2 bass at once one on the front set of hooks and one on the back set. 1st time that has ever happend. I then caught a 15 inch rainbow. and then a 2 pound small mouth.

Water temp when we left in many places was getting over 60. but most areas in the mid to upper 50s. Winds were light.

Can't wait to get back on that lake again.

Would like info on the walleye in that lake. What to use and where. Kinda of a new walleye fisher.

Hi Spinner Man,
I've had some luck with walleye off the south end of Steamboat Rock. Try a walleye rig, bottom walker with spinner and nightcrawler. There is a underwater ridge that you can follow that runs 15-30 feet deep heading south.
BTW, I appreciate the Banks report but could you use the submit report form? It is easier for me to post to the site and keep track of reports that way.
Thanks!
